Coupons R Us - January, 2009 

Congratulations to Shannon, Clint, and Absalom!   They had the opportunity to participate on a coupon delivery crew and put out hundreds of coupons for a local business.  We appreciate the work and the great job this trio did.  They delivered over 600 coupons door to door. 

Spring Fling Provides Special Support - January, 2009 

Spring Fling is an important opportunity for St. Andrew Bay Center to raise much needed funds and increase public awareness of its important mission in our community.  This year two of our consumers really stepped up to help.  George asked his employer Publix to support the event and they generously gave George a gift certificate for our auction.  Jill for the second year in a row was a dedicated raffle ticket salesperson.  Jill sold over 100 tickets by asking one person at a time and believing in our mission.

George and Jill have our utmost thanks for their support.  They believe in not only receiving services but giving back to the Agency as well.

Department of Transportation Crew Cleans Up! - January, 2009 

St. Andrew Bay Center has a crew that is assigned to clean the local Department of Transportation office on Highway 390.  This group is a dedicated group that enjoys their work and has made many friendships during their years of keeping the office areas neat and clean.

Duane, Jana, Marsha, Shawn, Marie, Charles are very proud of the paychecks they earn for their work.

Shawn - Giving back to his community - January, 2009 

Shawn is a young man with a dream.  He wanted to be a firemen.  He works at the Adult Day Training program on a crew during the week to earn money but on the weekend he volunteers at the West End Fire station near his home.  He has now volunteered for years.  He has a list of duties and works hard to make the fire station an organized and clean place for the other volunteers.  He proudly wears his volunteer shirt and participates at the volunteer meetings.  Dreams do come true when you are willing to work hard and have faith. 

Bowling Fun Realized - January, 2009 

The opportunity to go bowling is something most of us take for granted but for Al it was a wish that he had quietly hoped for many years.  Staff found out about his desire and much to his joy worked with his family to find the funds and have a staff person that takes Al bowling.  His smile is at least 100 watts of sheer joy.
